As the Covid-19 pandemic makes students and academics to study and teach from home, CTU Library serves as students and faculty online learning support. The CTU Central Library provides many services to make your work online easier.

E-resources in the time of coronavirus


In order to support institutions and students moving to remote instruction & learning, many publishers are offering some or all of their e-resources freely for a period of few months.

The Central Library measures to reduce the risk of coronavirus infection

All CTU students and employees follow  RECTOR’S ORDER no. 18/2020 On reducing the risk of coronavirus infection.

Furthermore, they are obliged to comply with the NTL regulations on measures against the spread of COVID-19 disease on the premises of the National Technical Library.

 According to restrictions given by the Government of the Czech Republic

the CTU Centra Library (including local libraries) will be closed from October 22th until further notice.


  • The Loans and Reservations are automatically renewed until November 20th.

  • Keep an eye on our website and Online Learning Library Support.
  • You have 24/7 online access to e-books, e-journals and other library electronic materials.

Trial is active from 1st November to 14th December.

The trial includes access to the world’s largest collection of optics and photonics applied research:

  • 445,000+ proceedings papers from SPIE conferences
  • 14,000+ presentation recording videos of research presented at SPIE conferences
  • 32,000+ journal papers from 10 SPIE journals
  • 350+ ebooks

Extended opening hours

From February 2018 is our library and study room at 5th floor open in extended oppening hours. It means that you can study, read or relax here to 10.00 P.M (only with self-service).
