The editors of scientific journals are responsible for publishing of two peer-reviewed journals, Acta Polytechnica and Acta Polytechnica CTU Proceedings. Editorial staff provides support to other editors within the CTU and manages a platform for open publishing of academic peer-reviewed journals OJS (Open Journal Systems).

The editorial team is also involved in other activities of the library, for example, teaching and organising seminars on the topic of academic publishing. The editors also provide consultations to authors of academic publications, beginners, and also authors who already published, regarding publishing standards and academic writing.

Journals

Acta Polytechnica

~ Scientific peer-reviewed journal of the CTU publishing original academic publications of international community of authors, focused on engineering, mathematics, and physics. The journal was first published in 1961 under the name „Proceedings of the Czech Technical University“. The name of the journal was changed to Acta Polytechnica in 1996.

~ The Proceedings series focused on publishing conference proceedings of conferences organised or co-organised by the CTU.

DOI at the CTU

~ Detailed information about DOI (Digital Object Identifier), an international, unique and persistent electronic document identifier, and its usage at the CTU. DOI guarantees permanent link to a specific electronic document on the Internet.

Similarity Check

~ Similarity check provides an option to check originality of academic texts and prevent plagiarism worldwide to publishers of academic journals and conference proceedings.

Open Journal Systems

~ OJS is an editorial system designated for management and publishing of electronic journals. Installation of OJS for the CTU’s journals is managed by the CTU Central Library who also provides information support.
