The Central Library of the CTU offers its internal users an option to borrow an e-book via a short-term e-loan service. This service is free of charge for the users.

Creating an account and logging in for the first time
Every user creates a log-in account in EBL. Use your CTU e-mail address (e-mails outside CTU domain won’t be accepted).
An affirmative message will be sent to your university e-mail account. Confirm it and continue to login.
The user can view any book from the selection for 5 minutes. After exceeding the time limit, it is necessary to end the viewing, or to borrow the book.

The user chooses the loan period (1 or 7 days); the book is saved in ‘current loans’ folder where you can read it online or download it to your computer, e-reader, cellphone, and the like.
To read the downloaded books you need to install Adobe Digital Editions and to create an account (Adobe ID).
- In case the pre-set financial limit for an e-book was exceeded, the system will ask you to fill in a form and send your request to the library for approval.
- Books in the collection remain available even if they are borrowed.
- Books in the collection will change continuously.
- The service will be in pilot operation until the financial limit is exhausted.
