Reservation
To make a reservation for books and textbooks you must be registered in at least one of the libraries of the CTU Central Library. Reservations can only be made if you are logged in (barcode of your card or username from USERMap and PIN). Therefore, make sure you are logged in and have not entered the CTU Catalogue as a “Guest”.
ACCESS TO THE LIBRARY CATALOGUE
Sign in using your Usermap/KOS name and PIN code (set during registration process at the CTU library).
HINT! Do you have difficulty to remember your Usermap/KOS name? You may use your personal number, which is on your ISIC/CTU identity card instead.
To log in, use the login name from Usermap (KOS) and the PIN you created in the CTU library.
Don't remember your Usermap login? Use the number written on your ISIC/ITIC card.
- Search the catalogue for the title you want and view “All Items” (at the bottom of a record of each title).
- The book is marked as “On Shelf” - you can reserve it by clicking “Request” (on the left next to the item record).
- Note the location of the book in the “Sublibrary” box and the status of the book in the “Due date” and “Item Status” boxes.
- You can reserve 10 publications at a time.
Publication designation:
- To study room - the book is only available to read in the study room
- Deposited - the book is located in the departmental and institute libraries, contact the service at the counte
- Due date - this indicates the date until which the book is borrowed. The book can be reserved.
You will receive notification of the completion of your reservation by email sent to your university email address. If you do not use it, please ensure that your emails are forwarded automatically to your private address.
The requested book will be ready for you in the library and you must collect it within 5 working days of the date of the reservation completion. You cannot change the location for picking up the book, but you can set a date by which you want the book.
