When preparing and writing an academic text, the steps and their order are essentially the same. The differences are rather due to the time and content requirements for writing individual types of documents (see, for example, writing an academic article or a thesis).
In general, the different stages of writing can be divided into:
- Selection of the topic
- Determining the time plan
- Finding resources
- Studying the literature
- The actual writing
- Proofreading
