Stages of writing an academic text

Studying literature

Based on a detailed analysis and comparison of ideas, knowledge, facts and approaches from different authors and sources, the authors try to come to a synthesis, i.e. to describe what all the researched phenomenon represents.

In the course of studying literature and other sources, it is a good idea to take notes immediately and continuously and to process the information (think about where to use it, sort it, etc.).

Recommendation: Make sure to include a full citation of the information source with your notes, because if you use information from someone else's work in your paper and do not cite it, you could be accused of plagiarism!

It can make it easier to browse through large amounts of text if you develop rational reading techniques. There are even apps that help you practise these skills.
